18/12 Medical Records, Pharmacy and the Warehouse

As a teaching and training hospital, The Sihanouk Hospital excels in many aspects. The patients' details and test results have been meticulously recorded much from the start of the Hospitals existence. This is unheard of in many countries, but creates a solid foundation for both individual care and ongoing research work. There are many projects going on with the Institute of Tropical Diseases and AIDS/HIV work, and many of the findings are very positive indeed!

To complement the treatment, also medicines come free. Much of them are funded by the Global Fund or donated by various manufacturers or organisations from around the world. HOPE also runs an advanced warehouse facility with proper cold storage, and distributes medicines to other clinics and hospitals too.
